...A certain friend of mine, one scytheweasel, and I have started a rating community for the game.

Ancients' Rating - ancients_rating

Given the game's tiny, secretive fanbase, I admit I don't expect many members, but we'd much appreciate it if anyone interested would show up. ;3

I believe I've beaten ED once, and lately I've been replaying it. I found this place (along with armaina's LJ) lookin' for some good screenshots to make icons out of. She found me an awesome Japanese ED site. To make up for it I just had to join.

My favorite ancient is Xel'lotath. Gotta love the two persona voices, and her wonderfully creepy and gruesome creatures. Pious Augustus and Alex Rovias also rock. :D

One of the best, most underrated games on the Gamecube. I remember that I happened to find this game used at a Gamestop years ago. I found it, bought it, and my mom (the only other gamer besides myself in my family) loves this game too.

I'm from Southern Maryland USA and I'm glad to be here.

And now to attach a recent Pious poemCollapse )

So says the founder of Silicon Knights in a recent blog post about their upcoming game, Too Human.

This fills me with much anticipation... as long as it's for the Wii. With that level of immersion, I can't imagine such a game being developed for another console.

My hope is renewed! Especially if they want to make a third game, as well. XD

Just thought I'd provided a link to the Eternal Darkness section of GameFAQS - their board area. It's very active, and the bit you should all take a look at is the topic 'Serious Discussion.'

http://boards.gamefaqs.com/gfaqs/gentopic.php?board=913957

If you want to hear about some of the common theories, and the less common ones, just take a look in there. Although reading it all take a while, it's worth it, and there are some brilliant ideas. In particular, speculation on the fact that there are more ancients than the ones we know and love, including a CONFIRMED BY THE GAME MAKERS 'Yellow Ancient.'

By the way, I'm not a member there, although I do have a bad habit of reading deeply into games and theorising. :D

First Entry of a new community

I know there is a huge fanbase for the game, so I was a little shocked that there wasn't any Eternal Darkness community
So I made one!

With news of a sequel, not to mention the many aspects about the game, I'm certain this will be a wonderfully active community

Also about the name

all names I tried for a community were taken eternaldarkness, sanitysrequium, darknesscomes, lossofsanity, sanitylost, just about anything I could think of was taken.
This was about the only thing I could think of
It's a little silly, but I like it.

Also, if you all could, please tag your posts with the appropriate tags. Since this is a new community, I would like to keep this as a mandatory thing, because I don't know about you, but it always bothers me, when I try to find something in a rather active community, and it gets burried and hard to find.
This way, it makes finding things and sharing information easier. Akso, if anyone can think of any other general tags needed, other than the ones already listed, let me know

well, join and enjoy!
